Held as a cultural, lifestyle, and educational event, the Owasso, Oklahoma Indian Education Office sponsored this powwow February 8, 2008. Part of the reason for the dance was to provide a meaningful experience for French foreign exchange students who were visiting Owasso. See if you can pick out the French folks!

Featuring hand-made crafts, storytellers, elder presenations, a powwow singing workshop, and a demonstration stomp dance, the RSU Native American Heritage is held every year the Saturday before Thanksgiving on the Claremore campus of Rogers State University.

Held each year on the second Saturday of November, the RSU Native American Heritage Festival includes make-it-take-it arts and crafts, cultural presentations, and a demonstration/participation "stomp dance". This version of the video includes extra songs not featured in the short version submitted elsewhere for grant and publicity purposes. 31st annual Claremore powwow at Rogers State University in Caremore, OK.

Recorded June 16, 2007, at the annual Muscogee (Creek) Nation Festival, the Grand Entry song is sung by Buffalo Horse. American Indian music fans will note that Muscogee people are not traditionally powwow people, but many Creeks do enjoy the inter-tribal powwow arena due to being located in Oklahoma, the center of the Southern powwow tradition, and also because of intermarriage between Creeks and people of the Plains tribes.
